Games the whole family can enjoy

Games the whole family can enjoy

One of the greatest things about having a bigger family is that there’s always somebody to do stuff with. But sometimes it can be hard for everyone to agree to want to do the same thing, particularly when there’s a big age gap. Playing games online can be a great leveller, and it’s great when you finally find that one game that the whole family enjoys playing together. Plays.org is a great resource for finding those elusive games that appeal to all age groups. We’ve been having a great time trying out the games and found a few favourites that we all enjoy.

Two-player games

There are a small number of two-player games on the site, our two boys particularly loved playing Tank Wars together.

Tank Wars

The aim of the game is to shoot opposing tanks whilst also defending your base. The great thing about this game is that both players team up together to fight off the enemy, so it’s a great bonding game for the kids to play together! My boys love anything to do with war and shooting, so this really was a winner with them!

Games for girls

Whilst my girls have always happily played games like Minecraft and Roblox, they do love anything relating to princesses. So, it was hardly surprising that they chose to try out Princess Goldblade and the Dangerous Water.

Each level has a different task to complete. And one of the best parts about this game is that there are numerous checkpoints throughout the levels, so there’s no need to go right back to the beginning each time which is something the girls really find frustrating. The controls are easy to get to grips with too so it’s a great game for both young and older kids.

The classics

If like me, you were born in the 80s, when video games were just becoming popular, then you’ll probably remember some of the classics such as Minesweeper. This was one of my favourite games to play back then and it’s just as much fun today!

MInesweeper

I love playing classics like this and showing the children the types of games we used to have, so that they can see just how far technology has come! The old ones really are still great though, and we’ve all enjoyed playing Minesweeper!

Playing online games together is a great thing to do as a family. It’s fun, free and can even be educational, plus it’s a great way to bring all the ages together too.
